Armacao dos Buzios or in short more often Buzios is a resort city located in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro, basically, this resort city is situated in the Brazilian peninsula which is 170 km from Rio de Janeiro, it is surrounded by numerous beaches, which make it perfect resort city. Its Some of the major
attractions includes Ferradura which is horseshoe shaped bay perfect for water sports, Geriba which is best surfing site of Rio hottest surfing site and Rua das Pedras which is small village area with the cobbled street,
bars, and nightlife. After the 1960s, Buzios got famous and became the coolest summer destination for the people of Rio. After the actress Brigitte Bardot visited the place, from then this small village becomes the sensation overnight,due to the actress visit it attained international reputation and turned into a coveted touristic destination.

Buzios has a boardwalk named after the actress, the Bardot Boardwalk, with wooden decks and stone pavement, at Armaçao Beach.The town’s center is the prominent location of the place it is significantly grown in recent times, but the village’s hot spot is the traditional Rua das Pedras which is a Stone Street.There are bars for all tastes, art galleries, sophisticated restaurants, elegant stores and even a movie theater named after the famous French actress. Buzios is known for its energetic night life and fine gastronomy. Night clubs on Rua das Pedras and Orla Bardot host parties in the night till the morning,especially during summer and holidays. You can please your taste buds by hopping in the number of restaurants which provides a mix of flavors influenced by international cuisines. Among the main beaches are Geriba Beach which is the surfers’ paradise, Ferradura Beach better known as a good snorkeling destination, Armaçao, Azeda, and Joao Fernandes.

The coldest month is usually September when the average temperature stays around 19ºC. The hottest month, on the other hand, in February.

By plane, the closest airport in Rio de Janeiro, which has 23 incoming international flights, or if you want to travel

By bus check the Rio de Janeiro bus station, you can also, rent a vehicle from Rio and drive 170 km directly to Buzios from Rio.
