Rio de Janeiro requires vaccination certificates for locals and tourists

 

Vaccination Certificates will be required at bars, restaurants and other commercial establishments.

Growing concerns about the new coronavirus variant, Omicron, took the official authorities in Rio de Janeiro to mandate vaccination certificates to be presented by locals and tourists.

Commercial establishments following that rule are :

  • bars, resturants, coffee shops (indoor and outdoor areas)
  • night clubs, social events, concert halls, performance halls
  • hotels, bed and breakfasts, hostels, property rentals
  • spas, beauty centers

Vaccination Certificates are still mandatory for parks, gyms, movie theaters, theaters, museums, art galleries, sports stadiums. The certificate must show proof of first dose, second dose or single dose.
