Avianca Introduces Nonstop Service Between Bogotá and Belém, Brazil
Avianca Airlines is set to expand its international network with the introduction of a new direct route linking Bogotá, Colombia, to Belém, Brazil. Starting December 2, 2025, this nonstop service will offer greater convenience for travelers looking to explore the Amazon region or conduct business in northern Brazil.
Belém, the capital of the state of Pará, is often referred to as the gateway to the Amazon. Known for its rich culture, tropical climate, and culinary heritage, Belém is a key destination for eco-tourism and trade. The new connection will enhance access from Colombia and other Latin American countries to this strategic and culturally significant city.
The route will operate twice per week, utilizing Avianca’s efficient Airbus A320neo aircraft. This initiative is part of the airline’s broader effort to increase connectivity within South America while responding to growing demand for direct, regional flights that bypass more congested travel hubs.
Avianca already maintains a strong presence in Brazil with flights to major cities like São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The addition of Belém strengthens its position in the Brazilian market and underscores the airline’s commitment to offering passengers more diverse travel options.
This new service is expected to boost tourism, support regional business opportunities, and foster stronger economic and cultural ties between Brazil and Colombia. Tickets are now on sale via Avianca’s official website and authorized channels.
With this launch, Avianca continues to solidify its role as a major connector of Latin America, delivering more accessible and sustainable travel opportunities across the continent.
